# Round 4 — Top-Down Decisions and Section Freezes
## Purpose
Round 4 converts the R2 architecture and audited R3 dossiers into author-facing section arguments, concrete display designs and frozen R5 drafting packets. It is not manuscript prose, new evidence, artifact generation, CFD or training. Round 4 should be lighter than the dossiers: preserve traceability in a compact ledger while spending most effort on argument, ownership, displays and decisions.
## Authority and tool routing
Current repository authorities, manifests, code/configuration and immutable artifacts override summaries and memory. A continuation agent begins with targeted Nowledge memory/thread recall when prior decisions matter, then verifies against exact repository authorities. Nowledge is for decisions/history; repository tools are for internal evidence; Undermind is for external literature only after `get_orientation` and `list_workspaces`. Read-only derivations/scripts use only a designated conda environment discovered from current authority or environment listings. Never guess an environment or run CFD/training without authorization.
## Coordinator workflow
1. Maintain the global decision ledger, whole-manuscript ownership and author feedback.
2. Build a minimum context packet for each section: exact controlling reads, accepted feedback, available material/readiness inventory, requested output decision, exclusions, target length/share, paragraph jobs, concrete display layout, ownership and exact questions.
3. Present two detailed section packets together to the author.
4. After feedback, launch two tightly scoped continuation agents in parallel. Agents use the packet and targeted checks; they do not rediscover the project.
5. Perform a coordinator second audit across both outputs before freezing either section.
6. Repeat by section pairs; freeze the Introduction last, then run the whole-manuscript Round-4 audit.
## Controlling inputs
- `ROUND2_TOP_DOWN/05_REVISED_STRUCTURE_FREEZE.md` and `06_SECTION_LEVEL_JFM_STYLE_GUIDE.md`.
- Relevant `ROUND3_BOTTOM_UP` owning dossiers, interface ledger, quality gate and final consistency audit.
- Current repository authorities/manifests named by the packet.
- This directory's master prompt, quality gate, global ledger and display/equation inventory.
## Round-5 handoff
Each frozen packet carries its bounded answer, target length/share, paragraph jobs, exact displays/equations, ownership/imports/exports, claim ceiling, accepted author decisions, exclusions, compact coverage/gap ledger and separate text/artifact readiness. Round 5 drafts only from that packet and its controlling authorities; it does not silently reopen decisions or fill evidence gaps.
